BiographyLouisa Delphine "Dell" Burnham was born on 26 May 1859 in Louisiana. She was the daughter of Captain Edward Truman Burnham (1813-1878) and Louisa Delphine Breaux (1815-1859). She had six siblings: Edward Ralph Burnham (1840-1914), Sarah Felicia Burnham (1842-1938), Julia Frances Burnham (b. 1845), Thomas Jefferson Burnham (1850-1949), Katherine Collins (Burnham) Stebbins (1853-1942), and Ellen Maria (Burnham) Biddle (1856-1924). The family lived in Thibodaux, Louisiana and moved to Hartford, Connecticut sometime between 1860-1870.
Dell married Joseph M. Birmingham (1854-1911). They had no children. She died on 7 January 1944 in Hartford and is buried at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
