James Marvin Bunce (13 Oct. 1806 - 25 July 1859) lived in Hartford, Conn. He was the son of Russell Bunce (1776-1846) and Lucinda Marvin Bunce (1773-1819).
He married two women: Frances Ann Brace Bunce (1805-1838) and Elizabeth Huntington Chester Bunce (1807-1861). James M. Bunce had at least eight children: Jonathan Brace Bunce (1832-1912), James Russell Bunce (1834-1840), Francis Marvin Bunce (1836-1901), William Gedney Bunce (1840-1916), James Russell Bunce (1842-1874), Frances Bunce Ryce (1844-1920), Russell Bunce (1846-1874), Alfred C. Bunce (1851-1928).
His siblings were: Lucinda A. Bunce Porter (1800-1874), John Lee Bunce (1813-1878), and Emma Bunce (1814-1913).
James M. Bunce is buried in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Hartford, Conn.
