Joseph E. BakerAmerican, 1837 - 1914

Joseph E. Baker was born in Bangor, Maine about 1837. He was apprenticed to the lithographer J. H. Bufford in Boston in 1856. By 1860 he was working in New York City. His signature appears on lithographs of "The Unrivaled Express Rider. Ginery Twitchell," and "Brigadier-General Nathl. Lyon," both printed and published by Bufford. Baker died in Danvers, Massachusetts in 1914.
