He married Hannah Darrow (1810-1895) in 1836. They had four children: George Henry Jerome (1839-1930), Amelia Jane Jerome (1841-1929), Julia Wightman Jerome (1846-1942), and Albert E. Jerome (1849-1860). He lived in Waterford, Conn. and Montville, Conn.
