DescriptionMan's sleeved waistcoat of white cotton/linen in a twill-woven herringbone. The neckline is high and round, with the center front corners of the opening rounded down. The center front opening fastens with fourteen thread-covered, domed buttons (7/16-inch diameter). The center front edges fall straight. The pockets on either side are cut with a curved opening and are covered by pointed flaps. The sleeves are about three-quarter-length and are cut with a curve up the outside seam. The coat is cut with a center back seam that opens up into a vent below the waist. The skirts are flared out. The side seams are open below the waist, but are stitched together again near the bottom edge. The proper left sleeve is pieced at the wrist opening.
