DescriptionBust length studio portrait of Ellen Waitstill Cheney as a young woman. She is wearing a dark jacket that has a standing collar and two rows of buttons down the front. There is a long trident-shaped pin at the neck, with several letters hanging from it. The letters appear to be "B", "O", "M" and a fourth unidentifiable letter. Underneath the jacket Ellen is wearing a light colored blouse with a standing collar that buttons at the neck. Her hair is pulled back and gathered into a bun or other updo at the nape of her neck.
There is a floral pattern printed in brown ink on the back of the CDV. The edges are gilt.
