DescriptionNinth plate daguerreotype of a woman, probably Mary Frances Bell (or possibly one of her sisters) by an unknown photographer. She is sitting in a chair in front of a painted backdrop depicting a generic landscape.

She is wearing a dress with a deep v neck and a white garment beneath it. The sleeves of the dress are bell-shaped, and Bull is wearing lace cuffs (or undersleeves) under them. Her white lace collar has a scalloped hem, and she is wearing a narrow ribbon fastened with a brooch over it. Her hair is parted in the middle and appears to be worn looped under itself so that it appears bobbed to the bottom of her ears.
