DescriptionSixth plate tintype of Moses Butler Bull by an unknown photographer. He is wearing a dark vest with a shawl collar, a white shirt, dark bowtie, and a dark jacket. He is holding what appears to be a cane in his right hand. His hair is white and worn long at the front and standing up. He has thick, white sideburns and a beard worn in a chin curtain style.

There is the faint outline of an oval around the subject, which indicates that there was once (originally?) a window mat of a different shape covering the plate.
