DescriptionHead and shoulders length portrait of Ward Cheney (1875-1900) in his military uniform. He is looking off camera to the right. Ward is wearing both an infantry pin depicting crossed rifles and a "U.S." pin on each side of his collar. He is also wearing a hat.

The photograph is cut in an oval shape and mounted on a piece of cardstock.
