DescriptionA World War I Air Raid Warden armband worn during drills by Lee Jay Whittles, M. D. of Glastonbury, Conn. Dr. Lee Jay Whittles was the medical examiner for Glastonbury. At the center of the armband ia a blue circle with a triangle at the center, and in the center of the triangle is a red medical symbol. Beneath this identifier it says "CONNECTICUT." On the left end are two holes in a vertical line, and on the opposite end are four vertical rows of two holes. The armband was likely held together with string or elastic through the holes.
