DescriptionMost views are probably of West Winsted or Winsted, though one photograph appears to depict the aftermath of the Wallingford tornado. Subjects include firemen posing with a hose reel, a dam, apparently a mill dam, in winter, a street scene, a flooded street and river, and a large sleigh drawn by four horses. A large brick commercial building is identified as "Camp's Block, West Winsted." Snow is on the ground in some pictures. Signs read: "G. N. Gibbs / Hair Dresser" and "W. Kirk / Jeweler."
Part of the John S. Craig Collection.
