DescriptionSmall, ovoid, grey stoneware jug with a salt glaze on the exterior. The jug has a plain rim, ovoid shoulders and body, and a flat bottom. A cork is wedged firmly into the rim. There is an incised line at the neck. A pulled strap handle connects the neck and body of the jug; two hand-painted circles of cobalt blue decoration are applied where the handle meets the body of the jug. Opposite the handle, below the neck, is the impressed mark, "D GOODALE". There are several imperfections in the salt glaze as a result of the firing process. There is one crack completely through the handle, and one crack in the body of the jug to the lower right of the handle.
