DescriptionWhite leather slippers with square toe, square throatline, and flat sole. The throatline is bound with tan, plain-woven, cotton tape, and decorated with a small, simple bow at the top. The vamp is medium-long (3 1/4 inches). The slippers are lined with white leather in the quarters area and plain-woven linen in the vamp. There is no back seam. There is a long loop of mottled black and white tape stitched to the sides of the slippers, which is not original. Although the slippers are straight, they are marked "Gauche" and "Droit" inside on the sock lining, to indicate left and right.
