DescriptionTwo identical souvenir wooden nickels issued at the Haddam Tercentenary (1662-1962). On one side, printed in blue, is the head of a woman wearing a sun bonnet and surrounded by the words "CENTENNIAL/ BELLE." Outside of the image, around the border are the words "WOODEN NICKEL/ FACE 5[cent symbol] VALUE." The reverse side only has text in blue: "Good In Trade/ At Any Cooperative/ Business or Redeemable/ At Face Value At/ NATIONAL BANK OF/ NEW ENGLAND/ EAST HADDAM, CONN./ on or before Noon/ July 5, 1962."
