DescriptionPortrait of a man facing slightly left. He has blue eyes, brown hair curly hair, and sideburns. The man is wearing a black jacket, white shirt, white waistcoat with buttons, and a white stock or cravet. The miniature is in an oval metal frame with a double loop suspension. On the back of the frame, there is a braided lock of brown hair in basket pattern.

InscribedAccording to information in the CHS Bulletin (volume 29 number 4 October 1964), there is a note on the reverse of backing card, which is securely glued to the ivory, that states "Cut the Card/ & Ivory together. Win Set."
NotesMedium Note: Metal frame appears to be pinchbeck frame, pinchbeck is an alloy of copper and zinc, used to imitate gold. (Ozzone 3/1/2013)
