DescriptionMan's fedora hat of dark brown wool felt has a narrow black grosgrain ribbon hatband with a small cluster of red, white and iridescent green/black feathers on the proper left side. The hat has a brown leather sweatband, stamped in gold: "R.K." The label inside the crown (which is not lined) reads: "Lock & Co. / HATTERS/ St. James Street/London./ Established 1759/registered Trade Mark." There is also a label for the hat size: "7" at the center back. The sweatband is stamped with the logo of the Lock & Co. hat makers.
