MarkingsA metal plate in the shape of a crest is affixed to the middle of the typewriter above the keys. The plate is engraved, "BLICKENSDERFER/ STAMFORD, CONN./ U.S.A./ 7".

A metal plate with model numbers and patent dates is affixed to the right side, behind the keys. The dates on the plate range from 15 July 1892 to 12 April 1892.

Remnanks of a white paper label are still affixed to the left front corner of the wooden base; only a few scattered letters are legible.
