NotesSubject Note: William Carvosso Sharpe was born October 3, 1839 in Seymour, CT. He studied at the Wesleyan Academy in Wilbraham, MA, and then taught school for ten years in Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. He then went into printing and journalism. He was also the author of several books, including a history of Seymour and a Sharpe family genealogy. (Finlay 5/9/2011)
