DescriptionWooden picture frame made from the Charter Oak. A wood carving of the state seal of Connecticut is at the top, framed by carved text that reads, "SOCIETY OF COLONIAL WARS IN THE STATE OF CONNECTICUT." Below it there are carved wooden oak leaves.

On the back there is an engraved metal plaque with the following inscription: "Clarence Catlin Hungerford / Charter Oak Frame / 1844-1899."
