NotesSubject Note: WorldFest ’97 was a large festival in Stamford featuring the cultures of over 40 countries, showcased through performances, food vendors, exhibits, and an international bazaar. International, regional, and Connecticut-based performers were featured, including Somaly Hay, Hannu Makipuru, Rancho Folclorico, Namaskaar dancers, Zolotyj Promin and more. The festival was organized by the National Theater of the performing Arts, a Stamford arts organization at the time.
