C. Langfitt. Their original destination was Akron, Ohio, as they had a sponsor (Charles E. Schwartz) in Akron. Once they arrived in New York, the family was re-routed to Hartford, Connecticut, and the family decided to stay in Connecticut.They only carried the two wicker crates with them as they immigrated to the United States.
The family changed their names in 1963:
