DescriptionViews of the Flood of 1936 in the area around the intersection of Cleveland Avenue and North Main Street in the North End of Hartford. Photographs show buildings at 9 Cleveland Avenue and 18 Cleveland Avenue. Most buildings appear to be multiple-family dwellings. Other photographs show men and women in rowboats, people walking on flooded streets, a stranded automobile, men with chairs on what appears to be a raft. Leafless trees appear in most photographs.
