DescriptionFour views of a section of Asylum Street, Hartford, near the railroad overpass. The photographs appear to document the condition of a sidewalk. In one photograph the sidewalk is unpaved, in one it appears to be partially paved, in two others it is paved with concrete. Men and women wearing winter clothing walk on the sidewalk. Automobiles and a truck are parked beside the curb. Lettering on the truck reads "Krueger." Construction or snow removal equipment appears in one photograph. Signs read "AWNINGS & CANVAS GOODS" "NO PKG" "PUBLIC TELEPHONE". A billboard in the distance reads "Fine Furs". A poster reads "JAMES / MELTON / BUSHNELL / MEMORIAL WED. JAN. 24."
