DescriptionCrewel embroidered linen bed covering comprised of three panels. Rounded lower corners. Embroidered with multi-colored flowers, birds, a woman and a cat. At top is embroidered "Betsy Mason 1780" in black and brown. Other shades of wool include pink, yellow, blue, and gold. Ground is undyed, plain weave linen. Backing is of a brown and cream plain weave linen. Bound with red, blue, and cream stripped cotton. Quilt design of diamonds.
