DescriptionSquare whiteware cup (.a) and saucer (.b), the shape and color of leaves of lettuce, with an overglaze green enamel. The saucer has the appearance of a small, roughly square, piece of lettuce. The cup has the appearance of a piece of lettuce that has been folded to create a roughly-square cup. In both instances, the whiteware body has been painted with a vibrant green enamel, and possibly an additional translucent glaze with black coloring to highlight depressions in the surface of the saucer.
