DescriptionWoman's cape collar of black velveteen, edged with a 2 1/4-inch wide ruffle of sheer black organdy trimmed with narrow black velvet ribbon. The outer edge of the collar is cut in wide scallops, and rows of top stitching on the velvet echo the shape of the edge. The neckline is V-shaped, and the collar fastens with a single hook and eye. A bunch of black velvet ribbon hangs in 38-inch-long loops on each side of the lower front edge. The collar is lined with black twill-woven cotton or cotton/silk fabric. A narrow strip of dark fabric is stitched inside the back of the neck for hanging the collar for storage.
