DescriptionRaised and cast silver cream pitcher, with a flared rim that curves up and out at one side to form a pouring lip. A band of die-rolled molding, consisting of narrow, slanted lobes, is soldered to the outer edge of the rim. Below this is a narrow neck, a flared shoulder, an ovoid body, and a short stem over a flared foot. Circling the shoulder are three bands of molding, consisting of a band of narrow, slanted lobes with a band of beading above and below. To one side of the cream pitcher, opposite the pouring lip, is a cast, ear-shaped handle. The handle is slender, with a scroll at the top and bottom, and leaves along the length. The leaves and scrolls on the handle are engraved and chased. Bands of beading are at the top of the stem and at the edge of the foot. The bottom edge of the foot has a band of die-rolled molding, consisting of narrow, slanted lobes. The interior of the cream pitcher is gilt. The cream pitcher is lightly scratched at the widest part of the body.
