DescriptionSpike-heeled, open-toe slippers, with clear plastic (now yellowed) vamp and strap. The top of the vamp is decorated with a cluster of white ceramic oval-shaped beads, some enameled blue, pink, and yellow, on wire. The Louis heel is nearly straight and 2 3/4 inches high. The sock lining is tan suede leather.

Handwritten in black ink on the waist of the sole of each shoe: "5 1/2 a-383X / E596 / E5719"NotesHistorical Note: Georgette Auerbach remembers wearing these shoes soon after her marriage, when plastic was new, unusual, and expensive.
