DescriptionGold-colored shoes with pointed toes, a single strap over the instep, and 1 3/4-inch high Louis heels. The fabric of the shoe is double-woven of black/yellow threads twilled over a yellow background, giving it a metallic gold effect. The throatline of the shoes, which is bound with orange twill-woven silk tape, is bordered by gold-colored leather cut in a crenellated pattern. The effect of this design is Egyptian revival, which became very popular after the discovery of King Tutankhamen's tomb in 1923. The quarters are lined with white kid leather and the vamp is lined with white twill-woven cotton. The sock lining is white leather. The soles are shaped for the right and left foot, with a narrow waist.
