There is a chip in the rim and several large and small scratches on the exterior surface of the glass. A used piece of gum is adhered to the interior bottom of the demijohn as well.

Kick: An indentation in the bottom of a drinking glass, bottle, or other glass object.

NotesSubject Note: A demijohn is a large spherical bottle with a short neck used for shipping liquor. It may have originally had a woven wicker case that conformed to the shape of the demijohn. (Hunt 3/16/2005)
