DescriptionUnglazed redware flowerpot with a thick rim, raised line below the rim, tapered sides, and a flat bottom with a hole in the center. To one side, beneath the raised line, is an impressed maker's mark, "EDWIN ROBERTS,/ HARTFORD, Conn." The surface of the redware is slightly discolored on the exterior, with variations in the shade of red, and a white discoloration over some areas near the bottom. There are several small chips in the rim, with two larger chips on the inside edge of the rim.
