DescriptionPair of round doorknobs made of stoneware with a marbelized appearance, created by mixing at least two different colors of clay. The ceramic was coated with a clear lead glaze. The iron on both doorknobs is rusty. There are light scratches in the glaze on the ceramic portions of the doorknobs.

Doorknob (a) was mounted on a cylindrical iron support that then turns into a square rod. A hole, meant to accommodate a screw, is located at the far end of the square rod.

Doorknob (b) was mounted onto a cylindrical iron support with a square hole in it. A hold in the cylinder, near the doorknob, was meant to accommodate a screw that would subsequently fit into doorknob (a).
