DescriptionFlared, cylindrical, white ironstone mug with a printed, underglaze green decoration to the left of a molded and applied handle. The decoration consists of a circular emblem with the head of a cow or bull, with horns, in the center. This is surrounded by a circular border filled in with green circular lines and white dots. This, in turn, is surrounded by a ring of white and the words "BALTIMORE LUNCH" curved above and "H. L. BOWLES" curved below. Finally, this is surrounded by an ornamental border of scalloped lines, stylized flowers, geometric shapes, and other small embellishments. The mug has accumulated minor stains along the rim and handle and minor scratches all over, some of which have acquired dirt.
