DescriptionSet of six octagonal dinner plates made of cream-colored earthenware, a type of ceramic known as creamware. Each plate has a circular well and raised decorations at the rim, consisting of a raised line at the edge of the rim and a small raised ornament at each corner. The plates have relatively few chips, but the glaze has been worn off at many of the corners and raised elements. Imperfections in the earthenware or glaze appear as black dots on the surface of the plates.
