DescriptionRound, handleless, cream-colored earthenware tea bowl, a type of ceramic known as creamware. The tea bowl is decorated with a transfer-printed border and pattern in black enamel. The inside bottom of the tea bowl is decorated with scalloped lines and vines around a small central flower. The inside rim of the tea bowl is decorated with a deep border, consisting of scrolls and swags of vines and flowers. The rim is scalloped. The outside of the tea bowl is decorated twice with the same scene showing a woman in the foreground sitting on a chair next to a spinning wheel. She is sitting outside in a field with a crenellated structure in the distance. The tea bowl has light overall crazing and a chip on the inside rim.
