DescriptionGroup portraits of members of the Moore family, including Nelson Augustus Moore, his wife, Ann Pickett Moore, and their children and grandchildren. In all of the photographs, N.A. Moore is an elderly man with white hair and a mustache. A.P. Moore is an elderly woman with gray hair. Several young men, a young woman, and an infant appear in some photographs. Some photographs were taken in the interior of a room, presumably in the Moores' house in Kensington, Connecticut. In one of these photographs, A.P. Moore is reading a book; a cat is in her lap; N.A. Moore holds a violin; there are framed pictures on the wall and a hanging lamp overhead. Two photographs show the exterior of a stone house, presumably the same building. In one of these, A.P. Moore wears a print dress; a purse or reticule hangs from her belt; her husband stands beside her, holding an infant; blinds are rolled up behind them; a climbing rose bush is in blossom at the right.

2004.52.373 and .374 are housed in a leather-covered silk-lined folder with an embossed design of interlaced leaves and flowers.
