DescriptionNavy blue short jacket with long, tapering sleeves and diagonal front welt pockets on each side at waist level. The jacket body flares out forming an "A" shape and is cut in two pieces; there are no side seams, just the center front opening and a center back seam. The front sections have shoulder darts measuring 5 1/4 inches from the neck. The full-length center front opening ties closed with two self-fabric ties at the base of the collar. The back of the jacket has a short yoke and center back seam. The yoke is stitched to the side fronts at the shoulder, in back of the shoulder darts. Each sleeve is one piece with an underarm seam, narrowing from the wide armscye to a turned up hem at the wrist. The stand collar is about three inches high and comes to long points, which are turned and stitched back. The hem curves up gracefully toward the sides. The jacket is unlined, and the raw edges are bound in red silk bias tape.
