NotesThe Ripley family goes back to the early settlers of Windham. The house depicted in Frink's drawing is the Eleazar Fitch-John Ripley House and Store located at 19 Windham Green Road in Windham built in 1755. Some name on Frink's list are recognizable, such as Eleazer H. Ripley (1834 - 1925) who enlisted in 1861 as a Private in the 3rd Connecticut Infantry and eventually was promoted a Captain.

The name Nehemiah Ripley, one of the brothers listed in the back, appears in another one of Lou's drawing (1973.25.59).
