DescriptionSixth plate tintype of Henry Edward Chase at the age of about 4 or 5, taken by an unknown photographer. Chase is wearing a dress with buttons down the front and braid on either side of the buttons and on the skirt. His collar is funnel-shaped, and he wears a bow-tie and a Zouave-style hat. Notably, he is wearing a drum across his chest, and he is "playing" the drum with a drumstick in each hand.
