DescriptionA marble monument with a round base surmounted by an urn is situated in a grassy field. The words "IN MEMORY OF" are inscribed on the base of the monument. Flowers, including roses, grow near the base and are arranged on the top of the pedestal. Two weeping willows grow on either side of the monument. A larger tree is on the left; a smaller one is on the right. In the background, at the foot of a hill, is a river or lake. A Gothic church, a house, and another building, possibly a stable, are on the opposite side of this body of water, at the far right. Hills are in the distance.
