DescriptionSixteenth plate daguerreotype portrait of Charles E. Bulkeley by an unknown photographer. There is considerable tarnishing on the surface of the image plate, so it is difficult to make out the details, but it appears that Bulkeley is wearing some kind of headwear, possibly related to his military service between 1861 and 1864.
He is wearing a dark jacket, white shirt, and a dark tie. He has a mustache.
Adhered to the red velvet pad on the left side of the case is a second image of Bulkeley, this one on paper. It is probably an albumen print, and it is the same print that is adhered to the glass of 2025.1.7. Bulkeley is wearing a dark jacket, a white shirt, and a dark bow tie. His hair is worn slightly long and parted to one side.
