DescriptionIrving H. Norton’s sketchbook with original drawings drawn during Norton’s flight training schools, 1944-1945, featuring caricature-like drawings related to military life. Irving H. Norton was a lieutenant in the Army Air Corps during World War II. Many of the drawings relate to pilot aircraft training, aircraft maintenance, and military camp life.

Some photographs of the Third Training Squadron are affixed in the back of the sketchbook. On page 23, Irving Norton is pictured in the last row, 9th from the right. On page 24, Irving Norton is in the fourth row, 6th from the right. The last page has Irving Norton's certificate of completion of the training course for Advanced Pilots.
