DescriptionView of Sarah Griffin Cheney standing on the lawn in front of a large house. She is wearing a wedding dress that has long sleeves and is holding a book in front of her with both hands. She is wearing a headdress that has decorative pieces handing down on each side of her face. It is attached to a very long, two-piece veil which is spread out on the grass to Sarah's right. She is standing directly in front of a tall shrub with shorter bushes on either side of it. The brick porch and portico at the front of the house can be partially seen to the right.
