DescriptionView of several generations of the George Wells Cheney, Sr. (1888-1965) family standing outdoors. In the back row are his wife, Katherine Goodwin Parker Cheney (1890-1973) and George, Sr. In the middle row are his maternal grandfather, Anthony Waddy Street (born 1831) and his mother, Lucy Compton Street Cheney (1859-1942). George, Sr. and Anthony are both leaning against a wooden fence that runs between them and Lucy, who is standing on the other side of it. The little boy standing in front of Anthony is George's son, George Wells Cheney, Jr. (1920-1994). George, Jr. is holding a black kitten.
