DescriptionA young woman wearing a dress with a tightly fitted bodice stands beside a stone balustrade and reaches for a rose growing on a bush beyond. Her dress has lace and what appears to be satin ribbon trim on the collar and cuffs. There is an overskirt, apparently of velvet, decorated with a bow with a rosette in the center. The woman wears a rose in her hair. The balustrade has finials in the shape of urns. Grass and small plants are in the foreground. Trees and hills are in the background.
