DescriptionTheatrical backdrop depicting a gray stone burial vault surrounded by a broken pillar to the right and left, and tombstones in various stages of picturesque decay. Painted for the play "Nathan Hale the Martyr Spy," which was performed at Wyatt's Theater on July 13, 1856.
