DescriptionNavy blue baseball cap with a patch and embroidered letters and numbers on the front panel. The patch is a yellow crest with white trim. In the center of the crest, a man in Colonial dress is running, while holding white scroll in his left hand. Above the crest, in blue writting, is "FLYING YANKEES," and below the crest is "103D FIGHTER WING". To the left of this patch, running vertically down the front of the cap, is the number "103" embroidered in gold thread. To the right of the patch, also running vertically down the front of the cap and embroidered in gold thread, are the letters, "F W". The back of the cap has a navy blue plastic, adjustable snap closure.

MarkingsA white label is stitched to the inside of the cap at the back of the sweatband. In black lettering, the label reads, "NEW ENGLAND CAP CO. [in a circle around the letters] NEC". Below this writting are the words, "ANSONIA, CT. / MADE IN U.S.A. / MED. LG."
