For the Connecticut Opera's 40th Anniversary Season the production of Verdi's Aida featured a cast of 1,000, an 80 piece orchestra, 3 elephants, 4 camels, 40 horses, chariots, exotic birds and animals, and a 130 foot long set at the Hartford Civic Center.
