InscribedPrinted in gold on front: "Whom the Lord Loveth He Chasteneth. / There is no death! What seems so is transition, / This life of mortal breath / Is but a suburb of the life elysian, / Whose portal we call death. / In Loving Remembrance of / Edmund C. Naylor, / Died Aug. 8, 1892, / Age 19 years. / Holy / Bible / A precious one from us has gone, / A voice we loved is stilled; / A place is vacant in our home / Which never can be filled. / God, in His wisdom, has recalled / The boon his love had given, / And though the body slumbers here, / The soul is safe in Heaven."
