DescriptionDrawing of the Whitney Manufacturing Company building at the corner of Hamilton Street and Bartholomew Avenue in Hartford. The low aerial perspective shows the street-facing facade of one side of the building, with a perpendicular wing extending behind it. There is a chimney with smoke coming out of it. There is a raised sign that reads, "THE WHITNEY MFG. CO. / HARTFORD CONN." In the mid background on the left is another factory; on the right there is a steam train. In the far background there are houses and other low-lying buildings.
